New pizza place
This morning Lex and I joined Loretta and Gabby at a new pizza place that just opened in Beaverton. It features rides, games, and a giant pizza/pasta/dessert buffet. (Yeah - I was in heaven!) We all had a blast, and Lex ended up taking a 2.5 hour nap afterward (in his new car bed), so it was definitely a win-win.

New bed, and Boise trip
Ok, I think we’ve focused long enough on soccer class. Time to move on with new pictures, eh?
Today marked a definite milestone for Lex. This afternoon we took down his crib and moved him into his toddler car bed. We also redecorated his bedroom with a “transportation themed” wall border which is pretty cute. He was excited about the changes and kept asking us if it was nighttime yet. He actually went down like a dream tonight…we’ll see if our good luck continues!

Here’s Lex and Bear testing out their new digs (still not using the pillow or wearing pants…crazy boy):

A few days ago Lex and I visited the Children’s museum again. Lex had a ball playing in the water exhibit, but he also refused to wear the plastic smock that would protect his clothes. So he got absolutely drenched.

Posing with Curious George. (This picture was taken after the soaking. The only dry thing I had to put on Lex was his jacket, so he’s wearing that and nothing underneath.)

A week ago Lex and Tim made a quick trip to Boise to see the grandparents. Tim took this picture of Lex at the airport as they were waiting an extra hour for their delayed flight. Apple and I stayed behind to relax and catch up on some sleep. (It was wonderful!)

Bonding time with Grandpa:

Tim said this next photo should be titled “Sunshine River Weaver,” since Lex looks so much like a hippy with his necklace and bare chest. But please note, he IS wearing pants!

Soccer class
I’m so proud of Lex. He’s developed a newfound independence in his weekly soccer class. During the first few sessions he was attached to my hip the entire time, but now I’m actually able to watch the class from the bleachers with the other parents. I’m going to try to sign him up for the next session so we can keep this good momentum going.
The picture quality isn’t great since we’re inside a gym, but here’s some shots from Lex’s last class. Warm up stretching: (Lex is wearing the blue shirt)

Our gym hosted a family night the other evening, and there was a free bouncy house for the kids. In another act of independence, Lex went in and jumped without his parents and had a great time. (sorry…poor picture quality again)
