Merry Christmas! (a little late)
This year we caught a glimpse of how fun and exciting Christmas will be for Lex over the next few years. He adores all the lights and decorations, and whenever he goes outside he kisses the eight snowmen lining our driveway.
Tim’s parents arrived last week (just in time to nurse all of us sickies back to health). On Christmas Eve we went out to dinner with a friend of mine, and then Lex stayed with his grandparents while the rest of us attended a beautiful evening church service.
Christmas morning started at 4:30 (!) thanks to our son the early-riser. But we didn’t start opening our presents until 7 or so. My mom spent the entire weekend before Christmas knitting Lex’s stocking (starting it on Friday and finishing it by Sunday), and with expedited shipping it arrived just in time.

Lex was all smiles on Christmas day.

New pots and pans for the play kitchen!

Several new books…

A school bus tent:

And a new riding dump truck!

Of course it wouldn’t be Christmas morning without breakfast casserole:

We spent the rest of Christmas day with Becky and Dayn and more family members. Stay tuned for pictures!
