I haven’t had much time to write about our poor sick dog lately…I’ve been too busy driving back and forth from the vet.  Kiwi spent the last two nights at the vet hospital, hooked up to an IV.  And she’s lost so much weight now.  Tim and I are really worried about her.  The vet says it’s a very serious case of pancreatitis, but her angry pancreas seems to also be bothering her liver.  She wasn’t eating at the vet, so they’ve sent her home again with hope that she might relax and eat more here.  But if she doesn’t eat soon we’re going to have to make some serious decisions that I’m just not ready to face.

On a lighter note, here’s some pictures of Lex at our latest play group gathering.  The meeting started with some finger painting, which is why all of the babies are stripped down to their diapers.  But most of the kids just wanted to play at the water table.

After we played out in the yard for a while, most of our friends were going to walk to a nearby park.  But when I tried to get Lex dressed in his clothes again, he threw the biggest fit.  He’s so stubborn, and I definitely have to pick my battles now.  So it was either take him to the park naked, slathered in sunscreen, or just head home early (which I chose to do).

This weekend we dropped by Dayn and his sister Misha’s birthday party.  It was 80’s themed, so here’s Becky posing with Lex in her “pretty in pink” attire.

Lex is so addicted to YouTube currently.  One afternoon when he was cranky I showed him random videos on my laptop, like tractors plowing fields, fire trucks with their sirens on, etc.  Well now he is hooked, and I can’t even check my email without him running over excitedly.  It’s definitely a slippery slope we’re on…
