Random stuff
Not much new to report, but I realize that you all need your “Lex fix,” so here’s some of the latest photos:

MMMM…ice cream.

Watching our favorite tv show, So You Think You Can Dance. Lex claps and cheers along with the audience:

Pool party at Mia’s house:

I think having guests for the last week tired Lex out. He’s been sleeping very soundly lately! (and I am extremely grateful)
Comments are off for this postPosing with Aunt Amy
My sister’s weekend visit was brief but fun. We were able to visit Portland’s Saturday Market, and Amy and Shirley accompanied Lex to his Gymboree class on Sunday (while Tim and his dad hit the golf course). Then we all went to pizza on Sunday night before taking Amy back to the airport.

Salem
Tim’s parents have been in town since Tuesday, and yesterday my sister arrived for a quick weekend visit. So today we all went down to Salem to see Aunt Winnie.

The “Jolly Trolley” transports manor residents back to their homes after meals and events. The driver was very kind and offered to take Tim and Lex on a little ride.

But Lex has been in a fragile mood these past two days, and he started crying the instant they took off in the trolley. So here he is, red-eyed and sad, as they returned.

the Zoo
Lex and I are frequent visitors to the zoo, but usually Tim is at work when we go. So this morning we took him along to show him some of our favorite exhibits.

My favorite spot is Lorikeet Landing, which I think I’ve mentioned before. You buy a nectar cup for a dollar and the birds land right on you to drink out of it.

One bird got cozy up on Tim’s shoulder while another one drank from his cup:

Peninsula Park
This afternoon we had to pick up some eye drops for Apple at our vet in north Portland, so we decided to stop and have some fun at Peninsula Park while in our old neighborhood. The park now features a cool new water play area for kids (of course they put this in AFTER we moved away!)
Lex was in heaven.

And the rose garden was in full bloom:

Lex spent about ten minutes just walking up and down these steps.

These next two shots only show Lex’s back, because he was constantly running:

What a handsome guy…
