Another trip to Salem
You guessed it…we had lunch in Salem with Aunt Winnie today. Â She’s still hanging in there and was happy to see us. Â

Lex enjoys pushing the buttons in the elevator. Â We have to monitor him closely or we end up stopping at every floor on the way up or down. Â

For once Lex didn’t fall asleep on the way home from Salem, so he actually took his afternoon nap at home in his crib. Â When he woke up we played in his pool on the deck. Â Tim had filled it with water this morning so it was nice and warm from sitting in the sun all day. Â Â

Playing with the hose

(He wouldn’t crack a smile…apparently Lex is very serious about his yard work)

Bethany fountain
We’ve really been enjoying the 80 degree weather lately. Â Today after Tim got off work we took Lex to play in the fountain at Bethany village (a favorite hangout for local kids). Â

Memorial weekend events
We had a great three-day weekend and I’m sorry that it’s over. Â We ended up going to three different picnics/barbecues. Â
On Saturday our family walked over to a nearby restaurant for brunch, and I managed to find an eager volunteer to share my Belgian waffle.

Then on Monday night we had dinner with Loretta and her family.
Here’s Gabby and Lex hitting the sand box:

and more bubbles!

I think the weekend wore our little guy out, because for the last couple of days Lex has taken 2-3 hour naps (twice a day!) Â Of course he still wakes up at night though. Â (Wouldn’t want to give mom and dad any uninterrupted sleep…)
