My parents came to town today and will be here visiting until next Tuesday.  They’re initially going to spend a few days in Salem with Aunt Winnie, but we met them for lunch before they headed south.  

Today I was watching Lex play and he got in and out of his car on his own for the first time. He was having fun and I thought, “That’s cute.”

Then I realized he was using the car as a means to an end…climbing the couch.

Today I turned 34, and I spent the day with my two favorite guys.  Tim and Lex made sure I had a great day.  We had brunch at Papa Haydn’s (my fave) and then we walked around some shops on NW 23rd before coming home to open presents.  Then tonight we had dinner at Sweet Tomatoes (another favorite restaurant of mine).    

This afternoon we couldn’t resist the sunny weather any longer so we walked to the park for a fun family outing.
