The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers…
Happy Halloween!!!
Eight hour trip to Boise today. Â That’s not too bad considering we had a baby and two dogs to feed, potty and keep happy. Â All in all, everyone did very well.
The grandparents Weaver had one trick-or-treater at their door tonight and he was dressed as Tigger.

Our big boy sitting on the steps all by himself.

The End…

Early birthday present
Lex received this Leapfrog learning table from his aunt Amy yesterday. Â He LOVES it. Â He’s already mastered a lot of the buttons and switches. Â
Meanwhile, he’s still coughing a lot. Â We went to the doctor today and thankfully his ears and lungs are clear. Â We just need to ride this out. Â But the poor guy obviously has a sore throat from all of the hacking. He sighs and moans and it keeps him awake during naps and at night. Â

Lex can’t seem to shake this dang cough. Â He still coughs during the day and it gets worse at night. Tomorrow we’ll take him back to his pediatrician for a check-up. Â Apparently croup doesn’t respond to antibiotics, so I’m not sure there will be anything she can do for him. Â But through it all, he remains in good spirits. Â Tim and I got flu shots today, and Lex won over the hearts of many nurses at the shot clinic. Â We have quite a flirt on our hands =)
Here’s some pictures of Lex enjoying the Halloween card that his grandparents mailed him:
Eventually everything must go in the mouth…
No commentsLast night
Yes, these pictures were taken at a hospital. Â Last night Lex gave us quite a scare and we ended up going to the emergency room at 1:30 in the morning. Â He’s had a cough for about a week and a half now, but last night his cough took a huge turn for the worse and he began wheezing and struggling to breathe. Â Anyways, to make a long story short, Lex was diagnosed with acute croup, and he was given an oral steroid to help with inflammation of the esophagus. Â But by the time we arrived at the hospital Lex was already feeling better. Â The doctor told us that being in the moist cool night air helped him. Â In true Lex fashion, he flirted with all of the nurses and tried to steal the doctor’s stethoscope while at the hospital.
Today Tim and I are completely exhausted and Lex is a bit clingy.  We’re just going to take it easy and hope for a fast recovery.Â
No commentsthe zoo again
Our friends Jenny and Ethan are back in town for the week, so today Lex and I met them at the zoo. Â Jenny also brought her cousin Tara and her daughter Emma (14 mths old, shown below). Â
The new baby elephant was outside today, soaking up some sun with his mama.
Here’s Lex and Ethan, both chewing on random things. Â
There were tons of carved pumpkins over by the elephant exhibit. Â Really cool!
Tim and I went house hunting again yesterday. Â We found a house that might work for us, but a lot has to come together before we’re willing to make an offer. Â Stay tuned…(by the way, does anyone know of a company that’s hiring engineers currently?)
