So sleepy
Here’s a picture that sums up how we feel lately. Â Last night Lex woke up every hour - like clockwork - from midnight to 6 am. Â Yikes!

Today we had a fun family outing and went to Philip Foster Farm for their annual Apple Cider Squeeze. (http://www.philipfosterfarm.com/) Â The farm is about five miles north of Estacada. Â We had a great time and came home with a gallon of tasty apple cider. Â Â
There were many old-fashioned apple presses  (like the one pictured below), and people could either bring their own apples or buy some from the farm to squeeze into fresh cider. Â
There was also a petting zoo:
It was so cute. Â A lot of the people there were dressed in old-fashioned clothing. Â Being a huge Little House on the Prairie fan, I was very pleased to be around so many people wearing bonnets and aprons. Â Â
Here I’m playing with an old-fashioned water pump:
We eventually took a snack break and sampled some of the delicious fresh pie for sale.Â
No commentsLunchtime visit
Everybody at Capital Manor loves Lex. Â (I mean really, how could they not?) Â We joined Aunt Winnie for lunch today and Lex was the hit of the dining room. Â He put on a great show and was very jolly as he made the rounds. Â
He’s not crawling yet, but here he’s striking a few promising poses on Aunt Winnie’s floor:
Lex is getting to be quite the character. Â He’s developed a real sense of humor and will give me a sly grin as he steals the glasses that I’m wearing. Â Then he laughs and laughs as I try to tug them away from him. Â He also has been vocalizing more, and we’ve heard quite a few “mama’s” lately. Â I know he probably isn’t identifying that sound with me yet, but it does warm my heart to hear it.

Yesterday our friend Gabby turned three, and Lex got to attend his first birthday party. The party was at a place called Sweet Peas Kidzone and there were lots of things for the kids to do. Lex particularly enjoyed the balloons.
