On Sunday we had another open house, so we had to be out of our place from 2-5 pm.  Luckily my friend Jean (from the animal rescue team I used to volunteer for) offered to entertain us at her house.  She and Lex got along really well (as seen in the picture below).  And some people actually came to our open house, so that was encouraging.

Then today Lex and I had a play date with a baby named Ethan and his mother Jenny.  We met them in the baby aisle at Fred Meyer the other day.  It turns out that both boys had a Dec. 27 due date, but Lex was born two months early and Ethan was born a week late.  It was fun to get the kids together because they’re very similar developmentally.  They both tore up the grass and sprinkled it in each other’s hair.  And they are both into making growling sounds at the moment.
