Busy day
These last two days have been rather crazy. We’ve gone to Salem both days to help out Aunt Winnie. Yesterday morning we ran around cleaning and getting our house ready because our realtor was holding an open house from 2-4 pm. Tim didn’t feel well and for some reason Lex pooped his pants about three times in a row. Then Lex was tired and needed a nap but we couldn’t lay him down in his crib because I was still cleaning his room, so Tim just drove the poor kid around in the car until he fell asleep. The boys picked me up at 2 and then we headed to Salem. Aunt Winnie was still weak and her blood pressure was high, but she thought she was going to be discharged from the hospital around noon. It turned out to be closer to 6 pm by the time all the tests, paperwork, phone calls, etc. were done. The nurses were apologetic and even gave us a few gift cards because the wait was so long, but meanwhile we had been (once again) entertaining Lex at the hospital for over three hours. He was a trooper, but it was definitely harder on him this round. So we got Aunt Winnie back home and settled in manor care and then got stuck in an I-5 traffic jam on the way back to Portland. Long story short…it was another late night for Lex.
But, then again, these pictures were taken once we got home (around 8:30 pm) last night, and you can see that our good boy was still smiling.
