Salem again

June 30th, 2008 | Category: Lex

Another visit to the residents at Capital Manor…

Lex was really good - just a bit fidgety during the meal.  So many residents came up to us and commented on his healthy appearance.  One jokingly said, “Why don’t you ever feed that guy?”  And another said something about him being a future linebacker.  Aunt Winnie loves to tell everyone that he was born three pounds and eight weeks early, since you certainly wouldn’t know it by looking at him.

Copycat

This morning Lex was intently watching as Tim ate his breakfast cereal, so I brought out an empty bowl and spoon for him to play with.  We plan to introduce him to rice cereal later this week.

Under the tree

June 27th, 2008 | Category: Lex

Today Lex decided to skip his late afternoon nap.  He did this by protesting - loudly - until his mother finally couldn’t take it anymore and got him out of his crib.  So to kill some time before bed we all hung out under our big tree in the front yard.  The wind was blowing so the leaves on the trees provided some entertainment for the cranky and overly-tired baby.

His bib says “Future CEO,” in case you were wondering…

BBQ’s and picnics

June 26th, 2008 | Category: Lex

Our Sunday night care group had a bbq last week, so here’s a few shots from that:

Then yesterday my mom’s group got together for a picnic at the Washington Park Rose Garden.  The flowers are in full bloom right now, so it was a great spot to meet.  As you can see, a lot of the babies are sitting up by now.  Not our little munchkin!  He’s the one laying there at the front of the blanket.

It’s definitely getting more interesting to meet as a group as the babies get more interactive.  Zach (the one by Lex in red stripes) dumped a bucket of salsa over himself yesterday as Lex tried to help himself to the mashed potatoes.
