Sleep is for the Weak

Last night we went out to dinner at Chili’s after our bible study. Lex was absolutely fascinated by the ceiling fans in the restaurant. No matter which way we were facing, he kept arching his back and twisting so he could get a good view of them. And he’s “talking” to us more and more these days. Lots of “oohs” and “ahs” and “guhs.” He might be going through some sort of growth spurt, because last night he woke up frequently but was hungry each time.
Our latest accomplishment is being able to put Lex down for a nap in the Moses basket before he is truly asleep. We lay him down with his eyes still open, and with the help of a pacifier he usually just drifts off to dreamland on his own. This is a big jump from him always needing to fall asleep in our arms.
