Today I went to a new mom’s group over by the hospital where I was originally going to give birth. It’s a weekly drop-in session for moms and their babies (up until 6 mths) and different subjects are addressed at each meeting. The moderator of the group told me that I can bring Lex until he is 8 months old because of his two-month delay developmentally. I think it will be really beneficial because Lex and I will eventually be assigned to a smaller group where he can “play” with other kids his age and I can become friends with mothers going through similar situations.

This was my first time of taking Lex out alone without Tim or someone else accompanying me. It felt good to test my independence, but it was also very hard to listen to a screaming baby in the back seat and not be able to do anything about it.
