Any Minute Now
Today marks Lex’s official due date. We weighed me with and without Lex to see approximately how much he weighs and it looks like he’s about 8 pounds. 8 POUNDS!
His feet are so tiny. They look very cute in little socks.

Lex enjoys “working” on my lap. At least he is getting some rest.

Sleepy tummy time.

His horned hat is a little to big right now, but still cute.

Merry Christmas! (for unto us a child is born…)
This year our best present is our little boy. Lex is more alert than ever these days. Yesterday he went to his first Christmas Eve service and then out to dinner at PF Changs. This morning he stayed awake for all of the present unwrapping. He finally fell asleep as we drove to Salem for our lunch with Aunt Winnie, and continued to sleep peacefully in Tim’s arms throughout the entire meal. All of the residents at Capital Manor LOVED him. Many came to our table and started talking about their own grandchildren. Even the cooks came out of the kitchen to tell us how cute our little elf is.
Here are some pictures from our day:

New Videos
I’ve posted a couple new videos showing Lex’s response to the vacuum and also some tummy time fun.

The Grandparents Weaver Ascendeth
Mom and Dad are in town with their Chevy sleigh full of Christmas chic with a hint of shabby. Lex has a new set of furniture that they brought to us. It looks so nice, but is very crammed into our little room.

For the last two nights Mom has taken the late night shift before Laura and I get up for the early morning shift. It’s been very nice to have some help. After two months of not being able to give Lex any attention from his grandparents, he’s getting it in quantity now. =)

Dad was shelling some pistachios and Kiwi was very patiently waiting for scraps…which she got.

Yet another pic of Lex sleeping in the Boppy.

Holy flying feces Batman!
Yesterday Tim’s initiation into fatherhood included cleaning up Lex’s poop off of the wall. Apparently Lex wasn’t adequately covered during a diaper change, because the next thing Tim knew it was on the changing pad, Lex’s back, and the bedroom wall. Amazing speed and projectile velocity…we’re certainly proud of our son.
But seriously, Lex continues to amaze us with how fast he’s growing and what he can do. He is getting really good at holding up his head. We are still giving him lots of tummy time for him to gain strength. He is very good-natured and only seems to fuss during the hours of 10 pm and 2 am. Luckily my shift usually starts at 3 am!
Here’s a picture of Lex & Kiwi. Obviously we supervise this interaction very carefully. She doesn’t love him (yet), but feels free to use his pillow.

Another picture of Lex with his mom…

“Geez…would you people stop taking my picture? I’m just tryin’ to sleep…”
