Not much new to report
Last night was a better night for us. Lex was still making his crazy noises, but we are realizing that they aren’t cries and he doesn’t seem to be in any discomfort. He just stretches out his arms , arches his neck, grunts and groans, then falls right back to sleep. He is still eating well and his cheeks are getting so big.
Laura went to the doctor today for her checkup and her blood pressure is down again. Her next appointment will be with our original ob/gyn in three weeks.
I got my huge external hard drive today and am in the process of formatting it so I can use it to store videos we take with our camera. I haven’t posted any new videos for a while because neither of my computers has enough disk space. The price one pays for high definition…

Excuse me, but have you seen our son? He seems to be missing. The child we have now is certainly not the same one we brought home from the NICU on Saturday. That one originally weighed only 3 pounds 14 oz, slept quietly and soundly, and wanted to eat every three hours. This one at our house wakes up every hour or so, eats like a horse, and sounds like a loud asthmatic cow when he sleeps. Granted, he’s still cute, but he is really wearing down his tired parents. So please let the original Lex know that we are looking for him if you happen to find him. Thanks…

Lex’s Second Bath
Lex got his second bath yesterday which he desperately needed. He was starting to smell of sour milk… he didn’t seem to care.

He also got some tummy time on a Boppy. This was right after a meal so he was pretty tired.

Tim and Lex enjoying reading the CNC Zone forum.
This experience has turned into an unexpected diet plan. We constantly forget to eat because if we aren’t feeding Lex we are either trying to catch up on chores or sleeping. Laura, being the amazing person she is, has somehow managed to lose 25 pounds! She dropped 12 pounds right after Lex was born.

This morning we took Lex for his first visit with his pediatrician. Once again Lex took everything in stride, sleeping in the car and peacefully waiting in his car seat before seeing the doctor. Our doctor is really nice and she was dully impressed with all that Lex has accomplished so far. She gave him a clean bill of health and we’ll be seeing her again in two weeks.
Tim took some pictures with his iPhone at the pediatrician’s office because we didn’t have our regular camera. Lex is only wearing a blanket because he had been stripped down for weighing. He is now 5 lbs 3 oz, which means that his parents have succeeded in feeding him properly for two days =)
We’re still new to being sleep-deprived and are trying to figure out the best times to nap and yet still get something done around the house. We don’t have as much time to update this blog these days since we’re not waiting around a hospital room, but we’re going to do our best to keep it updated.
